GD-OTS is looking for an experienced Sr Manager Operations to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow.
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.
Major Position Responsibilities
Administers recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for business execution and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies.
Develops and implements strategies meant to assist the business in meeting its critical goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible.
Approves and allocates resources based on business priorities.
Evaluates and recommends changes to policies or procedures.
This position may be found in manufacturing or non-manufacturing organizations, but in manufacturing organizations would not oversee operations of the production line.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.
Basic Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
5-7 Years experience in relevant function
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Business Management or Engineering
Technical Skills:
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Use of CI tools to improve Manufacturing Processes
