supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation and participation in startup, changeover and shutdown of operating equipment.

Sanitation
What your compensation will look like:
- $21.91 per hour (2nd shift and 3rd shift)
- Up to 15 days (120 hours) of vacation annually (depending on your schedule) and 11 paid company holidays

What your schedule will look like:
- 2nd shift: 10am-6pm
- 3rd shift: 3pm-11pm

What your day will look like:
- Train and supervise Temporary Employee Sanitation helper and back up
- Manages Cleaning service and provides performance feedback
- Maintains/performs facilities task inside and outside of the building:
- Clean mirrors, sinks, toilets and floors in bathrooms. Empty garbage and fill toilet paper and paper toweling.
- Clean tables, microwave, ash trays, floors and fill product sample bins in the lunch room. Empty the garbage and fill the ice trays.
- Clean the picnic and smoking areas, picnic tables, truck docks, parking lots and compactor area. Remove garbage from all areas.
- Clean plant entrance areas
- Clean oily floors to maintain safe work environment.
- Shovel snow and salt sidewalks when necessary.
- Wash bubblers, plant windows, plant phones and check office bathrooms as needed.
- Water outside foliage when necessary.
- Ensure fire extinguishers are in place.
- Complete Master Sanitation (MSS) tasks as scheduled
- Inventory management
- Restocking of cleaning chemicals for production sanitation. Chemical handling training will be needed.
- Ensure the correct stock/restocking of general cleaning supplies
- Restocking of PPE’s (Hairnets, ear plugs, etc.
- Relationship building/management with the following:
- Temporary Service
- Cleaning janitorial service
- Maintenance department
- Processing Team
- FSQ Team
- Office Coordinator
- Supporting meeting set up and miscellaneous plant events:
- Setting up training room, lunchroom etc.
- Role requires a strong individual with the ability to work autonomously as a self-starter with limited supervision
- Attend monthly departmental safety meetings and follow all prescribed Company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area as required by Company policy.
EQUIPMENT USED:
Cleaning cart, compactor(s) and floor scrubber, snow blower, chemical dispensing system.

What you have to offer:
- Minimum of a high school education or GED
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: The position requires the ability to read and interpret short instructions, lists and documents such as work and safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate problems clearly to coworkers and supervision.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve routine procedural problems by applying simple, learned responses.
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
- Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
