OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- You will analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes
- You will propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area
- Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area
- You will provide technical support for specific plant operations
- You will interact on a regular basis with design, product and manufacturing engineering staffs
- Provide direction to engineering support group and vendors
- You will evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment
- You will handle engineering projects with plants and/or Manufacturing Engineering Staffs.

Responsibilities

Be a member of the plant's Electrical Team -an integrated, technical organization consisting of members from Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality and Product Development organizations focused on problem solving the plant's top external and internal quality problems.

Take ownership of electrical processes for launching vehicle program, driving all electrical problems to resolution, including plant defects and engineering-related issues.

Lead the Launch Electrical Process Coordinator, Launch Electrical Wiring Coordinator, and Launch Electrical Diagnosticians

Ensure compliance to the Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO), particularly the Launch Aid standards covered in BoO Element 314
-
Complete required training at various sites around GM and suppliers. (Travel is required in this role)

Participate in applicable launch activities such as virtual, prototype, and validation builds to support plant readiness
-
Host/support In-Plant Wiring Harness Assessments (WHA 4) and lead disconnect workshops during launch to develop database for repair faults
- Effectively transfer key learnings to and from other Vehicle Intelligence Platform (VIP) launches at other GM facilities

Minimum 3 years previous experience with automotive electrical sub-systems

Experience leading represented AND non-represented employees within the last 5 years
- Thorough working knowledge of GMS and supporting BIQ4 Deliverables
