You will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.
Job Responsibilities/Requirements
- Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross-functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
- Execute deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives
- Communicate to all levels of organization, within supply chain, as well as other functions within the plant, and externally with 3rd party partners, suppliers, and carriers
- Oversee Ryder team on off-shifts for managing inbound material - supplier shortages, carrier issues, premium transportation approvals - escalation of exceptions as required
- Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions
- Support Command Center calls for supplier shortages
- Basic knowledge of Global Enterprise Production Information Control System (GEPICS) to run reports, hold or set-out/ set-in jobs, adjust breakpoints, update broadcast codes
- Strong Knowledge of Material Global Optimization (MGO) - inventory and scheduling screens
- Knowledge of other supply chain systems - Production Pull System (PPS), Electronic Pull System (EPS), Visual & Buffer Inventory Management System (VBIMS)
- Perform various Material Flow Coordinator (MFC) roles - inventory and data integrity, problem solving/ investigation
- Oversee 3rd party/ VAA activities on off-shifts
- Oversee Engineering change/ breakpoint planning/ execution on off-shifts
- Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
- Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
