What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Data Analyst position at General Motors?

Job Description

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired - This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week

Responsible for developing data analytics processes. Quantify data to assist engineering in problem solving activities. Create dashboards for management to run business. Also responsible for some problem solving activities as assigned. Also responsible for monitoring progress to meet quality goals through common global process assessments, facilitating rapid containment of issues, installation of countermeasures and Leadership escalation, if required, to ensure your Quality targets are achieved. A considerable amount of your creativity and initiative will be involved, as well as a high level of independent judgment.

  • Create data driven graphics that rally team around issues.
  • Complete problem-solving's as assignedFacilitate Quality BPD pillar
  • Ensure Quality Metrics are metPrepare updates for Quality Leadership

Required:
  • Create data analytic processes using Knime, PowerBI, Data Ingestion, ETC.

Education:
  • 4 year engineering degree or equivalent
