Job Description

Lansing Delta Township is looking for a talented Quality Launch Manager to join the team! The Quality Launch Manger will support the globallaunch of the 2024/24 C1YX-2 (Traverse, Acadia, Enclave) major through Q2 of 2024. This position will report to Quality Director Randall Morris. In this role you will be responsible for managing the Quality Launch Plan, Workstation Readiness for Quality Operations and fundamentally ensuring that the quality of the product is meeting our internal quality metrics and a delight for our customers. This is a global launch, so a flexible work schedule is required to support evening meetings with China. In this role travel will be limited. This is a launch assignment with the position expected to be resolved in Q2 of 2024 at launch team release. The global launch experience will expose the selected candidate to many parts of the organization, that will be rewarding both personally and professionally.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute the Plan for Every Vehicle ensuring that QLP deliverables are met, and vehicles are shipped on time; Launch drive audit process, Steering Angle / Alignment, Water Test/Squeak and Rattle, Mass / Trim Heights, GCA, Compliance to label requirements, etc.
  • Coordinate GCA audits of MVB vehicles including post audit reviews
  • Train GCA auditors to new product technology and new standards
  • Single point for GCA sufficiency planning
  • Report status of GCA at leadership reviews
  • Ensure quality deliverables of the launch tracker are complete on time
  • Report at quality wall reviews the status of the launch tracker dash board and countermeasures for any red items using the 4 square format
  • Communicate Lessons Learned through quality wall or PLOM
  • Integrate launch quality into existing plant reviews (i.e. 5F) as appropriate
  • Manage DRR glide path and report sufficiency plans to leadership
  • Support program achieving warranty and JDP goals
  • Single point contact for plant CTF issues
  • Work with PQM on JDP assessments and warranty sufficiency planning
  • Develop team member standardized work (e.g., SOS/JES) for all on-line and off-lineQualityFunctions
  • Manage operation readiness to ensure team members have what they need and are well trained to the new standardized work
  • Implement Workplace Organization and Visual Management forQualityOperations
  • Provide inputs and requirements into production standardized work to ensure built inquality. (Ex. Push click pull on wire connects, successive check, andon reaction plan, etc.)
  • Ensure product quality standards are completed on time and implemented into both Quality and Production standardized work
  • Review master error-proofing list and validate error-proofing implementation
  • Validate UAT completion and support 100% torque verification as required through MVB
  • Help define manpower requirements including additional manpower for increased inspection duringlaunch(ex.LaunchDrive Audit, Batch & Hold, in-process containment)
  • Develop and implement plan for additional inspection during new modellaunch
  • Manage development and implementation of QCOS torque process
  • Ensure 100% torque verification is instituted prior to UAT buyoff
  • Conduct Operation Readiness & Verification in preparation forQualitySystem Tryout
  • Develop and execute Quality Launch processes; Batch and Hold, Pre-Care, and Alybi
  • Support and ensure color harmony is completed and acceptable to build phase
  • Develop / update export checklist as required for new product content
  • Verify conformance to traceability requirements including trace configuration as well as data capture
  • Responsible for COP (conformity of production)
  • Verify PCP's are being conducted per PQRS requirements
  • Ensure compliance to BoQ for EOL stations
  • Update GSIP for new product including

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be willing to work alternate shifts as required by launch build schedule
  • Ability to work OT as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality - Launch, Operations, Assurance or Engineering
  • People leader experience
  • Multi-Plant experiences
  • Bachelors degree
