General Sheet Metal (GSM) is seeking a Sr. Architectural Project Manager to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing projects safely, on time, and within budget to ensure financial goals. Proactively communicates with a focus on removing roadblocks and offering solutions, while cultivating and maintaining positive trusting working relationships both internally and externally with clients, vendors, and trade partners. This position requires conducting regular jobsite visits. The Sr. Project Manager also provides mentorship to junior project managers and assists the design and pre-construction sales and estimating team in seeking and securing opportunities for future work.

 Qualified candidates will have:

  • Minimum 10 years related project management experience in design build, building envelope, architectural sheet metal, construction industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.  GED/Diploma required. 
  • Preferred, but not required bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field such as Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent applicable degree.
  • Effective verbal and listening communication and seek to understand.
  • Understanding of document control and tracking processes.
  • Embraces challenging and difficult design opportunities.
  • Proven history/knowledge working on Architectural systems.
  • Attention to detail with proven history of accuracy and documentation.
  • Creative and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Manages time effectively for achieving desired results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, email, excel spreadsheet, word processing, and Smartsheet.
  • Motivated by positive relationships and sense of team.
  • Basic understanding of financials and cash flow management.
