WOUND CARE NURSE (RN / LPN) – Full Time – Generations, Elmwood Park

Generations at Regency in Niles, IL, has an Immediate Opening for a Full Time Wound Care Nurse, RN/LPN. Salary of Up to $84,000 , plus Full benefits.

Full Time Schedule: M-F, 7am-3:30pm, with Alternating Weekends

*Wound Care Certification Preferred, but Not Required. We Will Provide Training and Certification for the Ideal Candidate!*

Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN):

• Plan, implement and set priorities for wound care and prevention according to residents needs
• Medication application to existing wounds
• Educate patients and their families to care for their own wounds
• Care for patient's surgical incisions, any pressure sores or any wounds caused from disease or injury
• Skin evaluation for pressure sore prevention
• Complete MDS, careplan
• Work with wound physician on weekly rounds

Requirements

of the Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN):

• Current RN or LPN license from the State of Illinois
• Nursing experience at a SNF
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) preferred
• Wound Care experience
• Personable and professional with residents, families, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
