Position Summary:
The Director of Marketing and Development will externally promote Generations Group Homes’ mission to stop the cycle of sexual abuse, executing the fundraising and communications goals of the organization. The Director will impact a wide variety of audiences via written word (website, social media, brochures) as well as being highly efficient in managing our fundraising database, fundraising mailings, and organizing and implementing special events. The position requires exceptional writing/communication skills and superb attention to detail.

Administration:
Manage and maintain donor database to include basic donor information, donations, and donor acknowledgements Utilize a database to pull reports, mailing lists, and donor records to assist in fundraising efforts such as individual asks, annual fall mailing, and grant writing Ensure donations are accurately accounted for and routed to the correct program area in our accounting system Manage in-kind donations including tracking, gift acceptance, and gift acknowledgements Ensure branded business materials are available to staff (business cards, letterhead templates, etc.) Oversee the performance and responsibilities of the Development Coordinator to include improved internal communications.
Communications:
Communicate Generations brand and initiatives efficiently and accurately via many channels (website, printed materials, social media) Seek out public speaking opportunities Develop and implement systems to update website content and design across all program areas Design and publish basic marketing pieces utilizing InDesign, Adobe or other emerging tools to inform stakeholder, donors, potential donors and volunteers Research and learn new methods for sharing Generations’ brand in an ever-evolving communications environment Work with a graphic designer on a limited basis to develop more sophisticated communications pieces Coordinate communications efforts for special events via newspaper and radio ads as well as online opportunities Create, format, and distribute quarterly newsletter Update and manage email lists.
Special Event Coordination and Management:
Provide administrative support for special events including data management, mailings, marketing, and other communication initiatives Work closely with the Development Coordinator to improve existing events and develop new events to support our Capital Campaign.
Recruitment and Management of Volunteers:
Perform ongoing compliance oversite of Volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and active involvement at Generations Group Homes Ensure communication with each volunteer entity’s point of contact is consistent and impactful Assist with the recruitment of Volunteers when applicable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional communication and writing skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent ‘people person’ with the ability to build relationships among staff, clients, and donors Multi-task efficiently while managing a high-volume workload Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and financial contributions Strong work ethic, committed to continuous learning Ability to analyze the effectiveness of all marketing and communications efforts (SEO)
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree preferred, and/or equivalent experience in development, management and/or business operations. Background in social services, demonstrated fund-raising ability, experience with Benevon preferred. Must possess ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written; and be responsive to cultural differences.

Salary : $43,300 - $54,800
