Position Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Green River, WY
Key Responsibilities:
- Area budget, including capital spending and forecast
- Materials Management for surface and mine operations
- People Development
- Compliance with purchasing standards, corporate standards, commercial law
- Site inventory and procurement strategies
- Long term and short-term planning
- Communications with other business areas
- KPI data and Management Control and Reporting System
- Department safety action plan and safety plus
- Area ISO 9000 system
- Contingency planning for work-stoppage
Activities:
- Manage performance management and compensation systems
- Coordinate department resource and staffing requirements
- Participate in site-wide networks
- Facilitate problem solving and improvements
- Priortize work and projects
- Resolve conflicts including employee grievances and safety issues
- Oversee root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain knowledge of impact of Materials Management performace on surface and mine operations
- Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with purchasing standards, corporate standards, commercial law
- Develop and manage site inventory and procurement strategies
- Coordinate with corporate strategic sourcing group
- Oversee sourcing and contract negotiation for major services and supplies
- Oversee Purchasing operations
- Oversee Stores operations (surface and mine)
- Provide input and information for plant areas for budget
- Support ISO 9000 efforts
Skill, Capability, and Educational Requirements:
- B.S. or Professional Certification
- 3 Years supervisory experience
- 10 Years functional Materials Management experience
