Join the Genesis nursing team as a Unit Clerk where you will provide clerical support at a nursing station.
Position Highlights
Delivers new admission chart and initiates forms in preparation for admission
Faxes physicians' orders daily and delivers any faxed documents to the appropriate party
Completes daily transfer of the vital signs and weights from the daily assignment sheet to the patients' chart.
Screens and forwards all incoming nursing unit phone calls.
Schedules appointments with physicians for patients' and relays the information to the nursing team.
Transcribes written orders in preparation for a review by a licensed nurse.
Greets visitors, guests, customers, etc. and provide information/directions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Data entry of labs and new patient admissions information.
