What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipefitter position at Genesis Industrial Staffing?
- Install and maintain piping systems for various applications, including plumbing, HVAC, and fire sprinklers
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine the layout of pipes and related components
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools or machinery
- Weld pipes together using stick welding or FCAW techniques
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and assembly using calipers and other measuring instruments
- Install pipe hangers and supports to secure pipes in place
- Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and carpenters, to complete projects on time and according to specifications
```Experience```
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a pipefitter or in a related field
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to pipefitting work
