Job Summary: Sherute, LLC is a multi-disciplined construction management and facilities services company providing professional, efficient, cost-effective solutions to small, medium and large business clients. Sherute’s clients utilize its professional staff for construction management and maintenance services.    We are currently seeking a PT Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will be joining our team in our Hamilton, NJ office. The PT Maintenance technician is responsible to provide assistance with all property maintenance tasks as well as assisting on occasion with commercial fit out type construction projects that are assigned by the Vice President & Director of Operations & Director of Facility Services for all facilities serviced by Sherute, LLC.     Essential Functions:   Performing preventative maintenance, including but not limited to changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changing filter, changing locks, spackle touch ups, painting, trim repair, flooring repairs, adjusting door closers, repairing/ installing window shades/ blinds, unclogging toilets, adjusting faucets, etc. Conducting routine daily/ weekly / monthly inspections of premises and equipment. Ensures that a safe work environment for themselves and the others around them by maintaining a clutter free work area and that all safety measures, standards and policies are always followed. Able to complete assigned maintenance tasks from start to full completion with little or no supervision either independently or working with other Sherute team members. Possesses the ability to troubleshoot and independently identify materials, tools, equipment and other resources required to complete the assigned task. Communicates effectively with clients, co-workers, and management to ensure that the assigned tasks are completed efficiently, while exceeding our client’s expectations and personally certifying our quality standards are achieved by focusing a high level of attention to the details. Provides assistance when requested to assist on renovation projects as needed.  Has the ability to meet and communicate with management to review assigned tasks, has the ability to comprehend the scope of work or assigned task and can self-perform tasks such as finish carpentry, drywall, tile, painting and other various types of finishes from CSI Division 6 through 9. Applicant to possess the ability to be highly proficient in at least one skilled trade but to also have the general knowledge and ability to self-perform minor tasks/ projects to a sufficient level of completion that they might not be as proficient in. We can assist in cross training with other team members who are skilled in other trades to improve your overall skill set. Maintains a positive attitude, can work as part of a team or independently, has the ability to multitask and shift gears to address prioritized tasks in a fast-paced work environment.  Must have the ability to care about the quality of the service they provide as well as the quality of the work being performed. Candidate must be able to independently hold themselves accountable for the work and service they self-perform and for work or tasks that might be assigned while under their supervision.     Responsibilities:   Performs various trade and maintenance related tasks in multiple disciplines such as; carpentry, millwork, drywall, painting, minor electric, minor plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration and an overall general knowledge and ability to perform facility maintenance tasks at both commercial and residential/ apartment type locations.   Perform exterior and interior maintenance activities associated with routine facility maintenance.    Coordinate with management to schedule work with subs, vendors for major or significant repairs.   Meet with subs and vendors at various facility locations and oversee work being performed by subs and vendors to ensure task completion.   Track and report all maintenance activities.    Report any accidents or injuries to management in a timely manner.   Communicate verbally or in electronic form of communication via computer, cell phone, tablet, or other form on status of repairs, projects from beginning until completion and close out of the assigned task.   Must be able to climb and use step ladders and extension ladders when needed to complete tasks   Ability to use common tools to make the necessary repairs.     Organize inventory equipment, parts and supplies.      Requirements:   High School Diploma
