What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Genessy Management?
1. Perform light maintenance on all appliances.
2. Perform light electrical repairs on such items as appliances, fixtures, outlets, circuits, etc.
3. Perform light plumbing work such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc.
4. Replace broken glass, tile, vinyl, minor carpet repairs, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, draperies, and locks.
5. Touch-up painting and full paint of interiors of apartments.
6. Painting of apartment decks and patios and other exterior apartment or common areas when necessary.
7. Perform carpentry work such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing door jambs, building shelves, sanding and refinishing floors, making window screens, re-screening, installation of cabinets or replacement/repair of doors/drawers, re-skinning doors and cabinets, replacing kitchen counters, repairing fences and utility cabinets, repairing decks and rails.
8. Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, emptying trash, cleaning windows, and cleaning apartments.
9. Assist in groundwork when necessary; i.e. pick up trash, pull weeds, when walking through community.
10. Repair concrete, masonry, roof, fencing, when required.
11. Perform light pest control services when required.
