Senior Developer

Genesys is looking for a highly driven Senior Developer to support the Go-To Customer team. This unique position requires deep technical expertise and solving problems creatively and effectively. As a Senior Developer, you will partner with business stakeholders to analyze current state needs and challenges, be fluent across the entire technology stack, assist with delivery and support responsibility for the platform team, and drive technical priorities.

 

What this role isn’t:

This isn’t a role where you are expected to lead a team, but you are expected to mentor team members and assist with technical decisions across multiple stakeholders. You will need to jump in and quickly make strategic, actionable, and measurable recommendations.

 

What you’ll bring to the table:

In this role, you will need to bring your knowledge and experience in delivering solutions built with Salesforce and AWS. You will be able to bring in off-the-shelf technologies and work with internal teams to develop customs systems. You will also engage in conversations, consult with teams, and use your knowledge to align the various stakeholders. This role requires both technical skills and interpersonal skills to be successful.

 

Some details about what you’ll do:

• Assists the development of crucial mechanisms that support agile delivery
• Provide hands-on assistance with exceptionally complex technical solutions, operating as a senior engineer.
• Engages with other technical stakeholders (operations, enterprise architecture, etc.) as necessary to manage technical requirements
• Ensure the engineering and technical considerations are accounted for in team rituals
• Ensures that the delivery team commits to achievable and realistic goals and includes the entire team in the estimation/planning process to obtain diverse perspectives
• Assists with the technical design of the platform and ensure that the prescribed architecture, security, development best practices, and agile best practices are adhered to

 

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in developing and supporting high-performance and highly scalable applications in an agile environment, depending on education
• Extensive hands-on experience with the underlying technologies of product/platform (programming languages, databases, application integration, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban, or other agile development techniques
• Fluency in DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment/delivery, configuration and containerization, and monitoring
• Flexible attitude and demonstrated ability to grow skillset and work across the entire technology stack
• Excellent technical and analytical skills to discuss problems, analyze solutions and enable improvement
• Excellent communication skills to effectively manage key business stakeholder relationships

 

Compensation and Benefits:

• Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $91,000-$189,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
