Position Purpose:

Responsible for the day-to-day sales production within Real Estate Lending for both first mortgage and home equity lending programs. At the direction of the VP of Real Estate Lending manages the implementation of new mortgage products and new product development, including sale to secondary market. Ensures that all lending functions are compliant with relevant state and federal lending laws, including ECOA, RESPA-TILA and HMDA.  Ensures that associates under their direction adhere to all established service levels. Ensures minimum production standards are regularly met and exceeded. Works with the VP of Real Estate Lending to ensure strategic direction of department is communicated and executed daily. Monitors and analyzes economic conditions affecting the Credit Union mortgage lending department and recommends appropriate action.


Job Duties (include, but not limited to):

  • Works with the VP of Real Estate Lending to develop weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals that align with the annual Strategic Plan
  • Coaches and mentors Mortgage Team employees to reach production and sales goals.
  • Works with local realtors to promote the Genisys mortgage programs in order to increase production/sales.
  • Enhances revenue through:
    1. Development of new mortgage products and services

    2. Actively managing the secondary market pipeline in order to maximize revenue and minimize losses

    3. Developing new business relationships and programs that will bring value to Genisys and our members.

    4. Constant monitoring of the mortgage industry to ensure Genisys is always on the leading edge with our products, services and revenue opportunities 

  • Observing developing trends in the industry and remaining knowledgeable of changing guidelines, regulations and business practices.
  • Ensuring members are treated exceptionally each time they interact with a team member and provided with the support and service of the highest standards.
Required Experience/Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in Real Estate Lending

  • Administrative and supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations including ECOA, RESPA, HMDA

Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Good project management abilities.

  • Well organized.  

  • Solid communication abilities. 

  • Able to meet deadlines.

  • Able to use PC and basic business equipment.
