Genius Talent has partnered with a leading medical device manufacturer who is looking to immediately hire an Accounting Supervisor to join their team. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting department’s operations. You will work closely with the Sr. Accountant and Controller to manage financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, collections process and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate uses strong leadership skills, problem solving abilities and analytic skills to meet the company objectives and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provides accounting support for accounts payable/receivable teams
- Review and provide guidance on accurate GL coding of vendor invoices related to assigned accounts
- Review cash receipts daily and advise of any errors or missing cash receipt entries
- Prepare daily bank reconciliations
- Work with AP team to determine unvouched AP and prepare monthly accruals as needed
- Run AP/AR aging reports monthly and reconcile to the general ledger
- Prepare cash forecast reports on a weekly basis
- Maintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements, and resource planning
- Prepares ad hoc reports as needed
- Provides audit support as needed
- Work with the collections team to resolve invoice issues or other factors effecting incoming payments
- Work with all team members to develop processes that are efficient and look for ways to automate daily processing
- Assists with the development of SOPs and internal controls
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline
- At least 5 years accounting/finance experience
- Strong in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment
- Strategic and creative thinker
- Must be detail oriented with excellent analytical and have strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
