Position Summary
The Tire Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible for the inbound, outbound operation and the delivery of product to the stores serviced from our Southern California tire and parts Distribution Center. The position is also responsible for execution of processes and procedures to ensure that we have the most effective distribution network providing a high level of fill rate accuracy, customer service and profitability. This position supports the GM in all aspects of a distribution operation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, all operational, and personnel policies and procedures
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Maintaining inventory accuracy. Conducting scheduled audits and cycle counts
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse
- Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field is preferred
- 5 - 7 years of experience in supply chain or operation management is required; auto parts or tire experience is preferred
- 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Must be customer driven with a strong business acumen
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Must have a coaching style that builds teamwork
- Ability to exercise good judgment and work independently
- Strong organizational skills
