Your Role Gensler’s Cities sector practice is growing, and we are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team. As a Project Coordinator, you will be viewed as a project delivery expert with a passion for service and attention to detail to help the DC-Cities studio bring designs to life. In this role, you will provide on-site support, coordination and communications with all design consultants, clients, stakeholders, contractors, consulates and staff. What You Will Do Contract Administration/Change Management Document Control and file structures SDIA BIM standards and requirements PMO logistics and support (FFE/IT/supplies) Coordination and communications with all design consultants, clients, stakeholders, contractors, consulates and staff Gensler’s project procedures & startup Project meeting coordination, including agenda, presentation, food ordering, and documentation. CD project phase including RFIs, submittals, QA/QC document stamping and coordination. Onsite Project Management support Maintain a working knowledge of the Washington, D.C. permitting process Bluebeam review process & procedures Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule, Newforma, etc.) Sustainable design/LEED Provide conventional construction administration architectural services including: Work within Contractor’s site offices and collaborate closely with contractor’s representatives. Be the prime contact to the General Contractor during construction phase until total construction completion. Attend regular construction meetings. Carry out periodic field reviews to monitor general conformance with the contract documents and prepare field review reports. Maintain all Gensler logs - RFIs, change log, submittal logs. Tracking Letters of Intent, Interim Agreements, Final Agreements, Certificates of Insurance Respond to contractor Request for Information (RFIs) Respond to submittals in coordination with A/E team. Preparation of instructions and change order documentation. Review and make recommendations on contractor quotations for the Owner’s approval. Preparation of monthly Certificates of Payment for each payment application by the Contractor and establish Substantial Performance. Preparation of deficiency lists. Collaborate with the Gensler and engineering subconsultant design team as required. Your Qualifications 5 years of experience with contract administration in high profile, large complex design-build projects Strong knowledge of City of Washington, D.C. permitting process Strong verbal and written communication skills Capable of taking meeting notes Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required Experience in large-scale institutional and mixed-use projects Proficiency with Bluebeam review process & procedures and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project Schedule, Newforma, etc.) Working knowledge of Gensler’s project procedures & startup Onsite Project Management support experience for major design-build projects Good team skills and design team communications Good with clients, stakeholders, contractors, consultants & staff Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview Life at Gensler At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
