Gentle Touch Dental is a dental practice that is passionate towards its’ doctors, employees, and patients. We have been established since 2011 and continue to serve Northern Virginia, creating beautiful smiles.
We are looking for a dental assistant to join our experienced and family oriented team - to work alongside our doctor, other assistants, and in coordination with the front staff.
Ideal Candidates for the Dental Assistant position:
- Graduated from an approved dental assistant course; or graduation from high school with 1 year of on the job training as a dental assistant.
-Must have knowledge of dental equipment, instruments, materials, and procedures along with X-ray, sealant training, and computer skills.
The Dental Assistant under supervision of the Dentist will assist the dentist during dental examinations and treatment procedures along with (but not limited to) the following responsibilities:
*Prepare the treatment rooms, instruments, and trays for dental procedures
*Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
*Expose and mount digital diagnostic x-rays
*Pour, trim, and polish study casts
*Fabricate custom impression trays from preliminary impressions, clean and polish removable appliances, and fabricate temporary restorations
*Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the Dentist
