Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists with procedures, perform administrative tasks, and ensure excellent patient care.
Duties:
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatment procedures
- Prepare patients for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Maintain patient records and schedule appointments
- Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Perform laboratory tasks such as mixing materials for impressions
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, including X-Rays
- Understanding of medical coding practices
- Ability to assist with various dental procedures
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to record vital signs accurately
