Role Overview
Our newly added (due to growth) 3rd Shift Supervisor, will manage the day to day operations in a production laboratory in our Windsor facility. This includes performance coaching and development, training, assisting in interviews, and ensuring that manufacturing objectives were accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the production plan, daily floor activities, and delegate assignments to the floor personnel.
- Manages production employees and proactively act upon employee relation opportunities including coaching and performance management.
- Clearly communicates production targets and strategies with the team. Measure and communicate status versus results expected.
- Holds team members accountable for performance standards and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Lead and participate in multi-functional continuous improvement teams in order to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Conduct timely and meaningful performance reviews.
- Interacting with all departments on different levels to ensure the safe and efficient operations.
- Perform other key activities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing setting, preferably biotech manufacturing
- Skilled at Conflict Resolution, Excellent Communication Skills and Proven Leadership Skills are Required
- Proven ability to maximize production and cost of goods utilizing continuous improvement, Inventory control, and other manufacturing tools are helpful.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong and enthusiastic leadership skills
