POSITION TITLE Senior Entra ID and Active Directory Architect POSITION LOCATION Richmond or Lynchburg, VA YOUR ROLE As the Senior Enterprise and Active Directory Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level Active Directory infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in architecting scalable, secure, and efficient directory services solutions that meet the organization's current and future needs. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide technical expertise, guidance, and leadership to ensure the smooth operation of Active Directory services. What you will be doing Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of enterprise-scale Active Directory infrastructure. Develop and implement best practices for directory services architecture, including authentication, authorization, and identity management. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. Design and implement Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security policies and standards. Ensure the integrity, availability, and reliability of Active Directory services through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting. Lead Active Directory migrations, upgrades, and consolidation projects. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to directory services and identity management. What you bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level Active Directory environments. In-depth knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including replication, DNS, LDAP, and Kerberos authentication. Proficiency in designing and implementing Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) for single sign-on (SSO) and identity federation. Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD) integration and hybrid identity solutions. Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems and related technologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex Active Directory issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or equivalent, are a plus.
