Description:
We are seeking a Senior Analytics Manager with extensive experience in the advertising domain.
As a part of Media Data Strategy team, you will play a critical role in building out analytics and measurement strategy globally across multiple paid media channels, including linear and digital TV, programmatic display, YouTube, Cinema and out of home advertising.
You will work on one of the largest travel and advertising data sets in the world, interact with cutting edge measurement products and help design leading measurement solutions in the ever-changing paid media space.
What you’ll do:
- Partner with the wider Media and Marketing Analytics teams to design measurement and optimization frameworks to maximize full-funnel business outcomes
- Identify available innovations in our approach to measurement, stress-test them by using a variety of analytical techniques and make the case for their adoption
- Evaluate the availability, quality and efficacy of our existing data sets and work cross-functionally with Data Product, Engineering and Program to address gaps
- Mentor junior members of the team on business sensibilities, data visualization best practices and technical analytical skills
Help us shape the future direction of the Analytics arm of the Media Data Strategy team
- Use your advanced knowledge of SQL to extract data from multiple data sources, combine them into the required datasets for model building and analytics
- Apply advanced statistical methods to a broad range of problems
- Conduct hypothesis testing and design complex experiments
- Communicate team goals, progress and outputs within and across teams
- Navigate functional metrics and approach new insights strategically, considering impacts to the wider business strategy
- Frame Expedia Group’s Media Team’s most complex business problems as an analytics problem and concrete set of analytical tasks
- Evaluate and challenge analysis requests to come up with the best approach to solve a problem
- Manage stakeholder expectations with frequent communication, expectation management and meeting deadlines
- Influence peers and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to senior leaders

What technical skills will successful candidates possess?
- Extensive experience of working with relational databases
- Advanced knowledge of SQL (R is a plus)
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.
- Solid understanding of statistics and analytical techniques
- Strong awareness of the media measurement landscape and topical issues (implications of GDPR, ATT, etc.)
- Experience with tools such as DSPs, ad servers and panel-based TV measurement tools
- Experience working in an Agile environment using Jira or similar tools
