Summary:
The Intern is responsible for learning the business lines of the company while also aiding in the impact of daily goals & productivity within the logistics operations.
Job Duties: -
· Collect data analytical information for dedicated business unit
· Develops and maintains weekly reports on findings within the operational task force
· Support the daily operational focus and or initiatives by helping productivity
· Participate in team projects and presentations on lessons learned to the leadership at the end of the rotation
· Other duties as required and assigned
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Currently pursuing an associates of bachelor’s degree from a 2 or 4 year college or university preferably with a Supply Chain, Logistics, Freight Forwarding or Transportation concentration/focus.
· PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
· Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers
· Excellent planning and organizational skills
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions. (REVISE IF NECESSARY)
