Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Lead UX Designer to join our dynamic team. As the Lead UX Designer, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the user experience design process from conception to delivery. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to create intuitive, engaging, and seamless user experiences across our digital products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX design, a passion for user-centric design principles, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences.
Note: Candidates should have strong UX/UI design leadership/ Information Architecture background/ content driven with creative direction experience.
Senior UX Designer with 5-10 years of experience and last 3 years as a team lead.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the UX design process, including research, ideation, prototyping, and testing, to create intuitive and user-friendly digital experiences.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project goals, requirements, and deliverables.
- Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions and validate design concepts.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas and interactions.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback, user testing, and usability testing to continuously improve the user experience.
- Establish and maintain design guidelines, patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency and coherence across products.
- Mentor and coach junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them grow and develop their skills.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design to drive innovation and excellence in our products.
- Collaborate with other teams, including marketing, customer support, and sales, to ensure alignment and consistency in the overall brand experience.
- Advocate for the user throughout the design process, championing user needs and advocating for user-centered design principles within the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Senior UX Designer with 5-10 years of experience and last 3 years as a team lead.
- 8 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work and process.
- Proven experience leading and managing design projects from concept to delivery, preferably in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and interaction design principles.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and user interviews to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of designers.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in SaaS or e-commerce industries.
- Experience with responsive design principles and designing for multiple devices and platforms.
- Experience with motion design, animation, or prototyping tools such as Principle or After Effects.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG).
- Certification in UX design or related field (e.g., Certified Usability Analyst, Certified User Experience Professional).
