Overview:
In this position you will be responsible for making baked goods from scratch, assisting with growing our product line, food prep, and customer service. You will deliver items to our visitors while engaging customers to feel welcome and comfortable. You will be part of a talented forward-thinking team dedicated to making Open Face a destination! Responsibilities:
· Work alongside the Open Face Owner to grow and expand the baked good brand.
· Make recipes according to supervisors’ instructions in a consistent manner.
· Build guest relations through genuine customer service.
· Utilize and share exceptional product and brand knowledge.
· Assist customers with selections and ordering.
· Place orders via Square POS system.
· Be cross trained in building menu items and plating food.
· Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment throughout the day.
· Perform daily dishwashing.
· Open and close the kitchen and eatery.
· Perform light kitchen prepping tasks.
· Perform inventories and manage stock throughout the eatery and kitchen.
· Varying working hours, covering different shifts including Opening, Lunch and Closing.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Monroe County Food Safety Certification.
· Possess guest service/visitor engagement skills.
· Must have a desire to work and grow in the hospitality industry.
· Experience in a restaurant or other food service environment is required.
· Must be detail oriented and highly organized with a strong work ethic.
· Must be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills and reliability.
· Ability to focus on quality and consistency in performance and products.
· Ability to maximize time management for completing tasks and making food in a fast-paced setting.
· This position requires standing, walking, lifting (25lbs), carrying, reaching, pushing/pulling, handling, speaking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
· Work is primarily performed in a setting with moderate to light noise. Exposure to heat sources (oven and coffee maker) and hazardous equipment (knives, meat slicers, etc.)
