George Fox University's Building Maintenance department in Plant Services is seeking an ambitious Building Maintenance Technician to support University operations through inspections, plumbing, preventative maintenance and other assigned duties.

Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Performing routine maintenance on various systems/equipment: (70%)
- Plumbing maintenance and drain clog repairs.
- HVAC equipment maintenance (ex: filters and belts)
- Following up with maintenance requests, ensuring that all work is accomplished efficiently.
- Performing organizational tasks: (20%)
- Maintaining the inventory of the shop and supply areas.
- Serving as the primary person to pick up/return materials to the supply houses and deliver materials to job sites.
- Supporting other various University functions and repairs: (10%)
- Assisting the Plumber and HVAC Technician as necessary.
- Assisting outside trade personnel with assigned work.
- Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
- By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
- Demonstrating awareness, respect, and appreciation for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, expressions of faith, etc. and works well with a variety of people.
- Other duties as assigned.

We're Looking For Candidates Who Have
- Previous experience with building trades.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and basic plumbing.
- The ability to lift more than 25 pounds and perform any activities such as balancing, bending/stooping, climbing stairs, crawling, crouching, climbing ladders, kneeling, repetitive motion or reaching above shoulder level.
- A clean driving record along with the ability to provide proof of a valid driver's license and pass the University Driver Certification.
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a church. In addition, employees agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
- Hours Per Week - 40 hours
- Typical schedule is from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- Work Location - Newberg Campus
