I. JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description Summary:
GW’s Division for Student Affairs engages and supports student learning by creating and fostering communities that promote personal development. The Division for Student Affairs is seeking a Night Facility Coordinator, Student Center.
The responsibilities of the position are outlined below:
  • Submits necessary work orders for maintenance issues related to their assigned shift.
  • Assists the Facility Associate in maintaining accurate records on the status of all projects initiated.
  • Responsible for the onsite coordination of various services and employees during assigned shifts.
  • Ensures that all requirements for clients and their associated events and the various groups, students, faculty, and staff are being addressed.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors, ensuring that all university guidelines and policies are being followed and timelines adhered to.
  • Is aware of all activities in the building and provides management support to clients.
  • Serves as a liaison between the university community, student organizations, outside clients, and summer conference groups.
  • Acts as the management contact for event-related issues that may include Audio Visual, safety, housekeeping, meeting room set-ups, catering, and contractors when the Facility Associate is unable to be onsite.
  • Assists the Facility Associate in tracking repairs and maintenance of equipment, including recommendations for replacements or new purchases.
  • Adheres to all university energy conservation initiatives and takes actions to support each endeavor.
  • Upon request, assists with the development and implementation of the building operation schedule for student staff and training for operationally related assignments.
  • Escalates and coordinates information and action steps as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
