What are the responsibilities and job description for the Online Statistics Tutor position at Georgetown Learning Centers?
Online Criminal Justice Tutor
ThinkingStorm is a national online tutoring company seeking writing tutors to conduct live online tutoring sessions from home.
Our ideal tutor has a BA/BS degree or higher in Statistics or a relevant subject with statistics experience. Additional
consideration will be given to applicants who have experience with tutoring or teaching the position on top of academic experience. Competency in other subjects beyond Statistics will also be high valued and beneficial to supplement schedule with additional sessions. There are two tiers of statistics that we are looking for. We have demand for introductory undergrad level statistics courses, as well as advanced undergrad/graduate school statistics courses, with compensation and interest in your candidacy increasing if you can do both.
This is a great position for people who desire some flexibility in their daily schedules. Tutors can fit their responsibilities around errands, graduate school courses, other part-time jobs, or family obligations. Tutors receive appointments and conduct tutoring sessions via ThinkingStorm’s system.
Desired Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per week, range based on subject breadth and experience as well as availability.
Compensation: $14-16 an hour for intro statistics candidates, but $16-20 can be offered for those that can also do advanced statistics courses.
You must have a reliable internet connection to be considered for this position.
To apply, please email us your resume at tutorrecruiting@thinkingstorm.com. If your resume meets our qualifications, you will be asked to complete a mock teaching session for a Thinkingstorm employee, to be scheduled upon further consideration.
