DCH is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Operations with the Healthcare Facility Regulation Division.
Job Responsibilities
The Director of Operations oversees operations of programs of regulatory review and enforcement in a variety of areas. This position develops and implements policies and procedures for assigned area. The position also provides leadership to subordinate managers and staff. This position compiles and files legislative reports. This position searches files and furnishes information to authorized persons. This position also enters and verifies contracts and financial transactions. The Director serves as operational support for HFRD's Executive and Deputy Directors. In addition, the Director of Operations for HFRD performs the following:
- Coordinates and leads work activities with the finance department related to operational budgets and expenses.
- Serves on Liaison and participates in inter-agency meetings to coordinate and direct IT activities for the division.
- Directs the contract process for the division and is responsible for ensuring the payment for services and goods provided to the division.
- Participates in the development of operational strategies to support workplace efficiencies.
- Ensures the appropriate dissemination and communication of all pertinent regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Monitors effectiveness of the licensing/certification process including the processing of payments for the licensing programs.
- Performs investigations, accountability audits, and other such duties related to alleged violations of all applicable statues, standards, rules, and regulations.
- Responsible for the performance management of subordinate managers and staff in the operational unit.
- Manage division financial, data and informational systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of management experience in the area of assignment OR Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of management experience in the area of assignment OR Eight years of experience in the area of assignment, Four years of which in a management role OR One year of experience required at the lower level Sr Mgr, Regulatory Compliance (RCM052) or position equivalent.
Note: Some positions may require a certification or licensure. Possession of a valid Georgia driver's license, which would enable the applicant to drive in Georgia, and use of a car at work, are required for employees in this job.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates, who have a healthcare background and in addition to meeting the qualifications listed above, possess the following:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Visio, Access, or Publisher
