Job Summary
Responsible for foundational architecture and infrastructure technology, guidance, and support to IT Institute-wide and other campus partners. Support the current architecture, infrastructure, and platform technologies and find ways to transform, optimize, and modernize. Lead the day-to-day operations for A&I to consistently improve value, effectiveness, performance, and end-user experience. Provide leadership in planning and managing technology operations and production support, architecture & design, network engineering/operations, data center operations, and service management/delivery. Responsible for establishing group/departmental/division goals, determining the resources needed to meet those goals, assessing group/departmental/division performance feedback, and making pay decisions.

Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure and architecture plan focused on modernizing our infrastructure and network strategy and providing services internally to central IT and to our campus partners. Ensure alignment with the Institute's objectives and strategic goals
Job Duty 2 -
Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the Institute's IT infrastructure, including networking, server, storage, virtualization, and cloud services
Job Duty 3 -
Collaborate with other IT leaders and stakeholders to develop an integrated IT service delivery model that meets the needs of the Institute's diverse user community
Job Duty 4 -
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry leading practices to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency
Job Duty 5 -
Oversee the execution of enterprise technology standards, strategy, and performance metrics to ensure IT delivers value to the enterprise, and actively participate in IT governance throughout the Institute
Job Duty 6 -
Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development
Job Duty 7 -
Develop and manage IT infrastructure and architecture budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and alignment with the Institute's financial goals
Job Duty 8 -
Partner with the CISO to assess and manage IT risk, compliance management processes, and disaster recovery planning
Job Duty 9 -
Build and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and other external stakeholders to optimize the Institute's IT investments and service delivery and serve as a key liaison between central IT's Senior Leadership Team, other Institute departments, and other USG schools effectively communicating IT-related information and roadmaps

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or Business Administration related field
Required Experience
Ten or more years of job-related experience

Expert knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology direction and strategic application to business needs; advanced knowledge of business operations and processes; exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment, ensure effective change management and communications;
Ability to improve operational efficiency and service delivery effectiveness across all lines of digital business and technology platforms; and excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
