Georgia Solar Pros is looking for a long term Solar Installer/Tech to assist with the installation and maintenance of our solar projects.
TRAVELING - This position will be 50% travel across south/middle Georgia, eastern Alabama, and north Florida. All expenses paid for when traveling.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install solar panels and other electrical and structural equipment in accordance with codes and standards, using drawings, schematics, and instructions.
- Perform preventative maintenance and other technical services on solar electric systems.
- Complete site surveys to determine optimal location of PV panels and other electrical equipment.
- Commission Inverters, and configure system monitoring equipment.
- Maintain the company vehicle so that it is always clean, presentable, functional.
- Maintain company assigned tools, safety gear and other resources.
- Arrange own transportation to work location.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- 2 years experience in the solar industry minimum
- Valid driver’s license.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Residential solar installation experience required.
- Project coordination experience is a plus.
- Electrical wiring/EMT bending experience is a plus.
- NABCEP Certification a plus
- solaredge, enphase, sol-ark, sma certifications a plus
- familiar with battery backup systems
ABILITIES
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds , climb ladders, and work on sloped roofs in summer heat.
- Good mechanical skills set, such as: working with hands, tools, climbing, good sense of balance, bending, kneeling, crouching, etc..
- Basic Email/spreadsheet/computer operation.
- Flexible availability for project scheduling, long distance and overnight travel.
PAY
$20-$32/hour depending on experience.
$100/ overnight bonus all lodging and meals paid for.
$.62c/ mile mileage reimbursement.
Bonuses for all projects completed on time and on budget.
16-40hrs per week, some weeks are slow with no travel, other weeks are very busy with lots of travel. Flexible availablility is a must.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
