POSITION:                PART-TIME ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM ASSISTANT - JACKSON COUNTY CAMPUS; COMMERCE, GA       

REPORTS TO:          DEAN FOR ADULT EDUCATION

WAGE RATE:           $15/hour; 6 - 9 hours per week.

EFFECTIVE DATE:   Effective Immediately

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for daily data entry, helping students with registration/orientation, ensuring effective customer service and operation of the center, and other clerical duties including light receptionist work.  Position requires regular work on site at the Jackson County Campus located in Commerce, GA. 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

COMPETENCIES:
• Skill in the use of computers and job-related software
• Skill in oral and written communication

  Effective organizational skills and attention to detail

• Skill in interpersonal relations
• Ability to maintain accurate records

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum qualifications and competencies):

Post-secondary education in a business or accounting-related field
