Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Product Delivery Manager (PDM) who will be responsible for coordinating key development projects and initiatives in various parts of the product life cycle which include sustaining, sunset and end of life. What you’ll do:
As a Product Delivery Manager your key area of responsibility will be to ensure the smooth progression of projects by overseeing task management and handling day-to-day operations. The Project Delivery Manager will be responsible for delivering regular status reports to key stakeholders, which entails building and leveraging relationships with internal subject matter experts (SMEs), coordinating with other Geotab teams, conducting testing and research on new and existing products, and maintaining comprehensive and precise documentation throughout the process.
\n- Drive product initiatives through the product lifecycle with focus on timely delivery depending on the phase of the product within the lifecycle (development vs in-life).
- Understand and document stakeholder requirements for specific products, and translate them into technical requirements as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Product and Program Managers (if applicable) to ensure processes are properly followed in all stages of the life cycle.
- Establish and maintain project deliverables, timelines and milestone updates for sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Actively look for project risks and identify ways to mitigate.
- Lead project meetings and maintain detailed meeting minutes. Follow up on action items.
- Be the point of contact for all technical deliverables including changes in scope.
- Perform post-mortem reviews post delivery of a product, and work to enhance the NPI process accordingly.
- Participate in establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
- Minimum of 3-5 years project/program management, or product ownership experience in a technology organization.
- Ability to maintain progress with little supervision.
- High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and make well-judged decisions.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
- Continuously stay up to date with the latest technological advancements and market trends to ensure alignment with industry developments and evolving customer needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides), and JIRA.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
- Post-Secondary Degree specialization in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Business Management or a related field.
- PMP or Project Management Certification strongly preferred.
