Brief Description
The Talent Acquistion Manager is responsible for leading the recruitment team and managing the full recruitment cycle, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the industry’s hiring practices. The Talent Acquistion Manager will work closely with department heads to understand their hiring needs and develop effective recruitment plans to meet those needs. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.

OUR PURPOSE:
The Talent Acquistion Manager is responsible for leading the recruitment team and managing the full recruitment cycle, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the industry’s hiring practices. The Talent Acquistion Manager will work closely with department heads to understand their hiring needs and develop effective recruitment plans to meet those needs. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Recruitment Strategies:
- Create and execute comprehensive recruitment plans and strategies to attract top talent.
- Utilize various recruitment channels including job boards, social media, recruitment agencies, and employee referrals.
- Manage Recruitment Team:
- Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to the recruitment team.
- Assign tasks and manage workloads to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Talent Sourcing:
- Identify and engage with potential candidates through proactive sourcing techniques.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs, including long term pipeline planning through partnership with universities, schools, and community organizations.
- Candidate Screening and Interviewing:
- Review resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the company.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews, including initial phone screens and in-person interviews.
- Lead onsite interviews, debriefs and organization of community tours.
- Collaboration with Department Heads:
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on recruitment strategies.
- Assist in developing job descriptions and postings for new positions.
- Employer Branding:
- Promote the company’s reputation as a great place to work.
- Develop and implement employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
- Be actively involved with the community to build brand awareness and partnerships.
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and report key recruitment metrics.
- Analyze recruitment data to improve processes and strategies.
- Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Proven track record of successful recruiting across various roles and levels.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Strong decision-making skills, attention to detail and quality of results
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- This role operates in a standard office environment in Stewartville, MN. A hybrid schedule will be considered.
- May require occasional travel for recruitment events, job fairs, or meetings with external partners.
