JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: Stockroom Cycle Counter Plant 2 - Gerald Industries

Non-Exempt

Reports To: Logistics Supervisor - Gerald Industries

Job Summary

Position is responsible for counting and monitoring product inventories to ensure materials align with the declared lists and documents.

Education, Training, Skills and Licenses Required

• Previous experience with cycle counting/inventory
• Ability to read and understand requirements on orders
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data
• Eventual forklift certification will be required.

Essential Functions

• Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
• Maintain product identification and location program
• Research inventory discrepancies and ability to reconcile them
• Responsible for completing cycle counts
• Track and report non-conforming product
• Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
• Must be detailed oriented
• Read and understand requirements on orders
• Good attendance is required for this position

• Other duties as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor

• Barcode scanner
• Tablet/Computer
• Weight scale
• Pallet jack
• Forklift/Joey Lift
• Other stockroom equipment

Work Environment

This job operates in a manufacturing environment with no air conditioning and loud machine noises. Employee is required to wear safety glasses at all times.

Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to stand in one spot for long periods at a time, walk, use fingers and hands to feel, handle, grasp or manipulate objects, tools or controls, reach with arms above, level with, or below shoulder; the employee is frequently required to bend and twist at the neck and waist, climb, squat, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, pull, lift or move up to 50 pounds; employee is occasionally required to sit, talk or hear. Specific vision abilities include close, distant, peripheral depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employee may have exposure to some chemicals.
