JOB DESCRIPTION

Gerloff Painting, Inc.’s accounts payable and payroll administrator must be an individual who excels in multi-tasking duties. This individual must be highly organized and must be able to work effectively with a team and by his/herself. This individual must be able to successfully complete all tasks assigned while completing all normal responsibilities. Responsibilities (descriptions of which can be found in following pages) for this individual include, but are not limited to:

§ Calculation of the weekly payroll

§ Successfully transferring and processing weekly tax and garnishment payments

§ Inputting all accounts payable information and processing checks to vendors

§ Reconciling accounts payable discrepancies

§ Maintaining all customer and vendor file information

§ Processing new job information

§ Filing

§ Answering telephone

§ Greeting all visitors

§ Receiving packages

§ Ordering and inventory of office supplies

§ Any other misc. office tasks (copying, faxing, mailing documents, etc.)

This individual is expected to maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional image at all times. He or she is expected to be diligent and motivated with regards to task completion and proactive with regards to unassigned work. He or she is expected to be a “team player”, working with all owners, managers, safety officials, supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates in doing “whatever it takes” to get the job completed. Gerloff Painting, Inc.’s accounts payable and payroll administrator is expected to adhere at all times and without exception to all policies outlined in Gerloff Painting Inc.’s company handbook.

Gerloff Painting, Inc.’s accounts payable and payroll administrators should have basic accounting knowledge and should be functional in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Norfolk, VA 23502: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
