Our client is hiring a Director, Program Management to be part of the site leadership team. The ideal candidate will provides leadership for the Program Management office in accordance with the organization's strategy, objectives, policies, and goals. Achieves business success through securing and execution of projects that deliver customer satisfaction.

Ensures the successful delivery of projects by understanding the customer view, continually improving the Project Management System, and prioritization of resources. Develops Project Manager and the behaviors to align with delivery of the project portfolio and ensures customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Key interface with Marketing and Sales with regards to new inquires and existing business. Manages assessment of RFPs, coordinating evaluations of technical experts and cost modelling, and working with M&S to create compelling customer proposals
  • Support platform managers in portfolio management and optimization to meet site strategy and objectives
  • Establish, maintain, and improve project management systems in accordance with group policies
  • Execution of projects through the project management teams. Ensure the customer view is represented while prioritizing internal resources, controlling costs, managing risks, and escalating as appropriate
  • Ensure skills, capabilities, and behaviors of project management team are aligned to deliver project portfolio and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage the Sales and Operations planning process. Optimizes the allocation of equipment and labor resources to meet demand over the planning horizon. Collaborate with all necessary functions including Finance, Operations, R&D, and Quality functions
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with GMP, regulatory, safety, and environmental regulations and local, state, and federal laws

LEADERSHIP & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides direct leadership to Project Managers and other direct reports. Works with other department directors to align project workload and assign priorities.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and coaching to improve performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve a system of work standards by developing guidelines and systems that ensure a consistently high level of technical work.
  • Responsible for developing the budgets for the Project Management organization and ensuring expenses are within the budgets.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field with 10 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated success in Project Management Leadership.

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
