Reports to: Director of Supply Chain and Facilities

Location: 4 Sunshine Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174

Work Schedule: [Full time/Part time], in a production environment

Job Overview: You’ll be part of the leading experts in environment that pride themselves on grit, integrity, ownership, and innovation. Germfree prides themselves on engineering and developing innovative solutions that make an impact out in the real world. You will determine the purchasing needs of the organization. They work with other parts of the organization to forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels and take orders from within the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Negotiate directly with vendors to get the best possible pricing and payment options
• Identify areas of potential cost reduction
• Analyze the impact of pricing changes for goods and services
• Keep detailed records of purchases and stocks
• Carefully monitor deliveries and any past due shipments
• Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance
• Evaluate supplier performance and compliance
• Assist with component and materials research
• Place orders for components
• Other reasonably related duties

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Research skills)
• Ability to write a professional business letter
• Familiarity with and/or capacity to grasp mechanical terminology and concepts, tool names and uses
• Professional manner with excellent interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy
• Versatile and team-oriented to achieve company objectives
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks appropriately
• Ability to deal with rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Solid work ethic
• Excellent organizational and process skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Basic math skills and 10-key calculator use
• Communication skills (listening, grammar, writing, speaking)
• Excellent negotiation, customer service and consulting skills
• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of business operations units and how they interface
• Demonstrates progressively more responsible work history

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma: some college or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience utilizing an ERP software

Supervision Required: Minimal
