Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 87,500 sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees.
Job Description
- Ensuring smooth production processes to guarantee the manufacture of injection molded parts that meet the specifications, taking into account the internal specifications.
- Independent preparation of machines, tools, handling and peripherals, including line clearance, taking into account the process specifications
- Independent installation, connection and start-up of injection molding tools
- Create associated production documentation
- Independent supervision of series production (implementation of cleaning, sampling, visual inspections, tub replacement, etc.) on the assigned systems, including the necessary documentation (MES, checklists, documents, etc.)
- Troubleshooting and handling of bad parts on the machine, tool, handling and peripherals within the specifications
- Support and troubleshooting in the area of FTS, HRl and other production equipment after appropriate instruction
- Continuous improvement within the area of responsibility
- Advice and support for roles P11a and P11 with problems and open questions (mentor function, know-how carrier)
- Participation in training as a mentor and role model
- Taking on special tasks in connection with new start-ups and acute problems in production
- Trusting cooperation with internal interfaces (e.g. process technology, QC, CS and TS)
- Independent compliance with the relevant operational requirements, standards and legal regulations
Qualifications
- Knowledge acquired as part of a 3-year technical apprenticeship (e.g. as a process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology or similar) and expanded through at least 5 years of professional experience in the plastics processing production environment.
- Excellent knowledge in setting up injection molding machines with and without automation systems
- Very good knowledge of injection molding processes
- Very good knowledge of troubleshooting in the injection molding process (with and without automation systems)
- Good IT user skills (MES, SAP, MS Office)
- Very good technical understanding
