What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at GES?
Overview
As a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting the leadership team in making strategic decisions through the analysis of timely, accurate and relevant financial information. This position is responsible for leading and supporting as needed with limited supervision. A primary focus of this position will be with the periodic forecasting and annual planning process of international entities along with the research and understanding of collective bargaining agreements. Special projects are also an integral part of this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial decks presented to global leadership
- Provide support in building 5 year strategic plan for global business segments
- Research and understanding of global fx rates
- Assist Labor Negotiations team with financial information needed before and during bargaining periods for CBA’s
- Analyze forecast results and provide reporting, analytics, and insights on how the forecast will impact total year financial goals
- Participate in the department’s process improvement initiatives
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by various members of senior management
- Compile and prepare detailed reports including graphs and charts of data analyzed
- Assist with special projects and in other areas of Finance as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- 1-3 years of Finance/Accounting experience
- Oracle financials experience preferred but not mandatory
- Hyperion experience preferred but not mandatory
- Interest in developing detailed knowledge of assigned responsibilities
- Occasional travel
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with little supervision
- Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and self-starter with an understanding of team goal
