Responsibilities

  • Prioritize health and safety in all operations
  • Ensure compliance across transportation modalities
  • Keep up-to-date with regulations and enforce compliance
  • Develop and update transportation compliance policies and procedures
  • Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions
  • Manage transportation permitting, reporting, and communication efforts
  • Investigate incidents, report thoroughly, and implement corrective measures
  • Collaborate with departments to maintain compliance and align goals
  • Provide training on transportation compliance topics
  • Offer support and guidance for transportation incidents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience
  • Deep understanding of transportation and hazardous waste regulations
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings, mentor staff, and achieve results
  • Negotiation skills for interactions with stakeholders and regulatory agencies
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
