Job Title: Associate Director of Graduate Admissions

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Graduate Admissions to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the prospective student experience from initial inquiry to enrollment. Reporting directly to the Institutional Director of Admissions, you will align the student experience and partner with the Admission Operations team, leading a team of Graduate Admission Advisors to convert high-quality prospects for our medical and veterinary institutions.

As a working leader, you will be charged with inquiry outreach, interview scheduling and submission, new student conversion, and campus relationships for both your prospective students and the overall prospective student population. Your responsibilities will include advising and building relationships with prospective students, interviewing eligible candidates, providing excellent customer service via email and phone calls, and utilizing internet applications and student databases.

Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, you will be responsible for all new student initiatives, including the student ambassador program, new student welcome webinars, and admissions support for each new student cohort across our medical and veterinary programs. A core aspect of your role will be leading and creating a high-performing team of Graduate Admission Advisors. In this capacity, you will be responsible for selecting, managing, training, and developing the team, ensuring that our prospective student process is successful and upholds our brand's reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage admissions processes individually and through a team of dedicated Graduate Admission Advisors.
  • Ensure that inquiries, applications, and interviews move efficiently and excellently through the admissions process.
  • Manage conversion processes and new student conversion, ensuring that timelines and expectations are met.
  • Conduct prospective student interviews and create interview write-ups for review by the admissions committee.
  • Collaborate with campus teams to align housing, registrar, student finance, and student life activities for new students.
  • Reach out to prospective students, answering questions and providing program information, communicating effectively in all responses.
  • Interview qualified applicants, provide summaries to the Admissions Committee for decisions, and communicate decisions with students.
  • Observe, coach, provide career development, and manage performance for the team.
  • Provide weekly reporting on funnel metrics, including interview data, committee review, and decision-to-acceptance metrics.
  • Utilize discretion and experience to offer continuous improvement in our admissions operations processes.
  • Complete other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in business or a directly relevant discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful admission, sales, or field marketing experience required; experience in higher education preferred.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with customers, preferably within education, and a proven track record of motivating or leading a team or demonstrating strong individual contribution and high potential.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, brand ambassador, and organizational skills.
  • Collaboration, partnership, and an optimistic, driven mindset are required for success in this role.
  • Valid passport, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, clear driving record, and flexible schedule, as weekend work and travel may be required at times.
  • Mission-driven, capable of quickly building rapport and inspiring trust, and naturally effective when interacting with a wide variety of people in individual and group environments.
  • Flexible and adaptable, recognized as a team player who enjoys collaboration and sharing successes.
  • Computer proficiency utilizing MS Office, database proficiency required.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including internationally, and demonstrated ability to work remotely as necessary.
