Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily functions of the accounting department, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, budgeting, and cash forecasting.
- Conduct thorough analysis of accounting data to generate accurate financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce sound accounting policies, methods, and principles.
- Facilitate annual audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
- Recommend enhancements to systems and procedures, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and compliance activities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives to aid in strategic financial planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial planning, and the preparation of financial statements.
- Proven ability to manage accounts and perform account reconciliations effectively.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on driving results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exercising sound judgment in decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High integrity and dependability, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial accounting role is essential.
- CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
