Key Responsibilities
- Review and process mortgage loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Conduct thorough credit analyses to assess borrowers' financial status and determine loan eligibility.
- Collaborate closely with loan officers to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare comprehensive loan files for underwriting review, ensuring all required documents are meticulously organized.
- Liaise with third parties such as title companies and appraisers to obtain essential information for loan processing.
- Monitor the loan pipeline to ensure timely completion of tasks and compliance with deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions and update databases as necessary.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and guidelines related to mortgage lending.
- Previous experience in mortgage processing or related roles within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of mortgage servicing processes, including loan origination and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws governing mortgage lending practices.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software for data entry, document management, and record-keeping.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in 10-key typing.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct credit analysis and perform basic math calculations.
