Area Manager (Getir Stores)

We are seeking Area Managers across NYC, Chicago, and Boston to run multiple dark stores with the support of store managers in each location. Our dark stores are the heart and soul of our business and this is where the magic of Getir rapid delivery begins! You will help us get our stores tweaked to perfection - spotting operational efficiencies within your area and implementing those, managing the store operations, and managers! You will have cross-functional counterparts in rider operations and will work with them to ensure your stores are staffed to ensure we deliver our customer's favorite products in 10 minutes or less! We're growing exponentially every week and you will play a crucial role in our growth and success by managing our ever-increasing store operations.

What you’ll do as an Area Manager at Getir

• Manage the day-to-day running of several dark stores; meeting health & safety standards, managing stock deliveries, site cleanliness, and more
• Ensure all store and company sales targets, operational goals, policies, and procedures are met and maintained
• Manage and maintain staff schedules across multiple locations, with the support of Store Managers and meet payroll budgets, remaining reactive to trading patterns. Manage your team effectively and ensure optimum cover during peak trading periods
• Outwardly demonstrating the values and visions of the business and inspiring the teams to do the same.
• Ongoing monitoring of customer service standards and cleanliness to continually “wow” customers & employees.
• Protect the Getir brand and ensure all team members meet personal presentation standards.
• Improve site efficiency and reduce site operational costs, but without ever undermining safety.
• Work closely with Store Manager and Operations Manager to improve the overall site performance. Exceed expected targets if possible.
• Be inclusive and emphatic. These are integral to this role, as such these values must run through you.

Requirements

What we expect you will bring to us:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in managing teams across multiple supermarket, retail or hospitality sites. Multi-site experience is a must.
• Great analytical skills with the ability to work with a broad set of KPIs and the ability to identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.
• A highly adaptable mind, able to switch between long-term strategic initiatives one moment and pivot into rapid, tactical actions the next.
• Commitment and flexibility: Getir’s dark stores operate 7 days/week, from early morning till late in the evening. As an Area Manager we expect you to understand when your team needs your leadership the most. It is essential for you to work across the shifts, including weeknights and weekends.
• You are an inspirational leader, displaying excellent management skills, identifying and developing talent in your team to encourage career progress and employee satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills and most importantly: a can-do, will-do attitude.
