In that light, we’re looking for a Benefits Specialist to join us on this adventure.
We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to be a part of the People Team in Chicago to support the employees in Chicago and across the US. You will support employees with questions about payroll and benefits. You will also have cross-functional counterparts in benefits, payroll, and safety. Your role requires you to be on the phone most of the day, both inbound and outbound. You will assist with workers compensation and leave requests across several states nationally. Familiarity with HRIS systems such as ADP, Paylocity, etc. is a plus.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with employee benefits, workers compensation, and leave programs
- Support employees as they use the benefits enrollment system
- Maintain employee benefits filing systems
- Supporting payroll questions
- Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims inquiries.
- Assist with time off, leave, and disability requests.
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrators. Follow up on claims.
- Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
- Own the Getir US benefits inbox and respond to inquiries.
- Must be available to work shifts in either the Central, Western, or Eastern time zones (9am - 5pm). You may need to work alternating shifts and weekends, as the business needs.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with Paylocity, a plus.
- A good sense of humor. Fun is treated very seriously at Getir!
- Great attention to detail
- The ability to take ownership and responsibility, proactively seek out solutions and opportunities to improve
- Adaptability and flexibility in how you support the team and the needs of the business. You’ll be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Superb organization skills.
- Speed and efficiency in all tasks to support the team (speed is our currency at Getir)
- Teamwork and strong communication skills. This includes mad zoom skills! This includes the ability to be on the phone. You’re human and engaging both on screen and off screen.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of major HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity
