POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel Requirements include: Traveling to local Sacramento Facilities, as well as to areas such as Redding, Truckee, Stockton, Merced, San Francisco, Santa Cruz (on occasion)
- Recommend changes for process improvement when necessary through gathering knowledge and observing employee productivity and evaluating account progression.
- Maintain customer satisfaction through encouraging and leading direct reports and upholding quality control standards and employee retention.
- Ensure all reasonable efforts are taken to achieve maximum results for department.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, direct reports, patients, and government agencies.
- Ensure productivity goals are met and audit goals are achieved for department.
- Audit accounts to ensure windows are appropriately and accurately populated and federal, state, and company policy compliance are met and evaluate healthcare receivables accounts to ensure proper progression and work standards are met.
- Retain current knowledge of eligibility programs and policies and linkage requirements (local, state, and federal) for which patients may be eligible.
- Maintain documentation of pertinent patient information in the appropriate systems and documentation of account activity.
- Accountable for all decisions, actions, and directives with respect to job responsibilities.
- Responsible for progressive discipline with regards to attendance, performance, and all aspects of company policy up to and including termination.
- Knowledge, understanding, compliance, and enforcement of all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participation in Company Programs must meet minimum performance standards.
- Responsible for respective department's overall performance and for motivating team to exceed department goals and objectives.
- Follow up in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
- Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
- Travel and driving required as neccessary
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ELECTRONIC REQUIREMENTS
- This position is remote and as such you must complete and pass our AT&T Speed test.
- Associates Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
- 2 years of medical customer service and/ or supervisory experience required. 3-4 years of medical customer service and/or supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Ability to lead, direct, and motivate others.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
- Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office and Hospital environment
- Flexibility for 7 days availability
