JOB TITLE: Warehouse Supervisor
LOCATION: Kalamazoo, MI
JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for outbound shipments and internal material movement within our Kalamazoo facility. This people leader position guides the coaching and development of the warehouse team including team support, training, and issue resolution. Together with their team the leader will achieve customer service expectations and meet internal schedule requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Part Sales shipping process. Meet customer delivery expectations, packaging and documentation requirements as well as shipment accuracy goals.
- Ensure completion of warehouse jobs according to customer shipment schedule and the Getman Production Schedule. Work with production coordinators and part sales department to align completion with manufacturing flow.
- Maintain staff levels that align with expected long-term workload. Lead team in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees
- Serve as the main point of cross functional contact for Customer Care, Finance and Operations. Work with peers to resolve issues and implement positive change.
- Lead and develop the warehouse team; complete and conduct performance reviews; celebrate and recognize success, address complaints, and resolve problems.
- Monitor performance, analyze data, investigate opportunities seeking to improve performance over time. Participate in company improvement initiatives as appropriate.
- Initiate material, supply, equipment, and tool purchase requisitions as needed by the team. Monitor budget information related to department expenses
- Support the warehouse team in the loading of large capital equipment for shipment, including training and safety procedures.
- Participate in shipping claim processing as appropriate for damaged or lost parts.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment. Train personnel on processes and procedures.

Education and/or Experience
- Associates degree or equivalent qualification or a combination of job-related education and a minimum of 3 years inventory, shipping and receiving experience.
